Day 61: Sweet Guluva Wins Week 9 Friday Night Arena Games

Sweet Guluva has won R5,000 after winning the Week 9 Lottostar Friday Night Arena games of Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 ‘Umlilo’ in 2025 on Day 61 of the show.

As is the norm in the Big Brother Mzansi house, tonight Big Brother summoned the housemates to the arena for the Week 9 Lottostar Friday night arena games.

Tonight’s games were the penultimate Friday night arena games of Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 ‘Umlilo’ brought to you by Lottostar.

The end is near and with these being the second-last games before the season ends, Big Brother hoped that the housemates were eager to snatch the R5,000 cheque that was up for grabs tonight.

This week’s Friday night arena games comprised four different games explained below.

Coin Balance

For this game, housemates stacked 3 coins on their index finger. They then crossed a beam without falling off or the coins falling off the finger.

When a housemate missed a step and fell off the beam or the coins fell off the finger, the housemate collected the coins and restarted again. Once they got to the other side of the beam, they deposited the coins into the empty bowl.

Shooting Star

For this game, housemates attempted to throw three stars into a distant bowl while standing behind a line – showcasing accuracy and power.

Throw of Destiny

This game had four different coloured bean bags and an equal number of coloured circles on the mat. The aim was for housemates to land a bean bag to a matching color on the mat – demanding focus and accuracy.

When a housemate’s bean bag landed on a different color, the housemate fetched it and tried to aim for the corresponding color.

Buzz Wire

For this game, housemates moved a metallic wand from one end of the wire to the other without the two objects touching – testing steady hands and composure. When the wire and wand touched, they gave off a beeping sound and when this happened, a housemate restarted the game.

Tonight, Uyanda was the first housemate to play the games given that he was Week 9’s winner.

→ Nate completed the games in 3 minutes and 5 seconds but received a 20-second penalty, bringing her final time to 3 minutes and 25 seconds
→ Jojo completed the games in 3 minutes and 52 seconds but received a 5-minute penalty, bringing her final time to 8 minutes and 52 seconds

Winner and reward

This week’s winner, the man of the moment, Sweet Guluva, completed the course in just 1 minute and 53 seconds, the quickest this week – adding another R5,000 to his piggy bank.

This is the third time that Sweet Guluva has won the Lottostar Friday Night Arena games, remember he also won the Friday Night Arena games of Week 1 on Day 5 and those of Week 7 on Day 47.

We hope that the effort Sweet Guluva has been putting in has been well worth it, once again congratulations to him.

Tonight’s victory brings Sweet Guluva’s total winnings to over R27,500 from this season’s games.
