Day 58: Sweet Guluva and Mshini Win the Week 9 Chillers Punch Task

Mshini and Sweet Guluva of Team Sub Zero – Black bandana win R10,000 in the Big Brother Mzansi 2025 ‘Umlilo’ Week 9 Chillers Punch Task.

Like last week, the housemates split into their respective teams again as they prepared for the Week 9 Chillers Punch games.

Below are the four Teams:

Big Brother tasked the teams with accumulating points in four challenges, the top two teams in the first three games would then advance to the fourth challenge (final showdown), where the ultimate winners would be decided.

Team Ice Citrus Twist – Blue bandana (Jojo and Nsuku)
Team Peach & Mango – Yellow bandana (Nate and Uyanda)
Team Sub Zero – Black bandana (Mshini and Sweet Guluva)
Team Tequila Sunrise – Pink bandana (Abobo and Siphesihle)

As it approached 19:40, the long-awaited Chillers Punch challenge kicked off with the first challenge.

Challenge 1 – Chillers Pong

For this challenge, housemates aimed to throw a ping pong ball into empty Chillers cans arranged on a table, earning points for each successful shot.

Game 2 – Chillers Punch Music Cans

For this challenge, 7 cans were placed at the center of a circle surrounded by hula hoops. Housemates had to walk in a circle around the 7 cans while music played and when the music stopped, they had to grab a can – anyone left without a can was eliminated.

Challenge 3 – Fruit Find

For this challenge, Team members had to take turns transporting fruit from one container to a bowl on the other side using only their mouths.

Challenge 4 – Puzzle Challenge

For this challenge, each Team had 10 minutes to solve a puzzle within the time limit to secure additional points – testing their teamwork and problem-solving skills.

After all four challenges, it was Teams Peach & Mango and Sub Zero that progressed to the last round – going head-to-head in the decider round to see who would walk away with the R10,000.

For the last round, Big Brother asked questions, and Teams were required to write down their answers on the whiteboards that were given to them. When Big Brother asked them to reveal the answer, the Teams would hold their boards up and show them to Big Brother.

To be honest, all the housemates gave it their all, but there could only be one winner. At about 22:07 (CAT), the battle was over with Team Sub Zero – Black bandana (Mshini and Sweet Guluva) winning the Week 9 Chillers Punch challenge.

This means that Sweet Guluva and Mshini walked away with R5,000 each. In addition, they will be enjoying a year’s supply of Chillers Punch.
