Siphesihle won R5,000 and an air fryer in the Big Brother Mzansi 2025 Umlilo Week 9 Robertsons Task on Day 59 of Season 5.

This was Big Brother Mzansi Season 5’s final Robertsons-sponsored task, the ultimate cooking challenge where the winner would walk away with R5,000 and an air fryer.

Week 9’s Head of House, Uyanda, read the Robertsons Task brief and tricked his fellow housemates by saying that the ex-housemates would return back to the house and that they would no longer be Top8.

For this task, the housemates got to showcase their culinary skills as well as share a hard-thought story about the inspiration behind their chosen meal and how it relates to their Big Brother Mzansi journey using the knowledge they have gained through recipe cards, spices, and the masterclass.

What meals were the housemates expected to make?

The meal that a housemate chose to prepare had to have been shaped by their experience in the Big Brother Mzansi house.

This was an individual challenge that went beyond just cooking. It was a challenge about self-discovery and the arts of storytelling, and each housemate’s dish was supposed to tell the story of how they found their meal during their stay in the Big Brother house.

At about 17:46 (CAT), the housemates began with their task and after close to two hours, they were done. Big Brother then asked them to return to the house while he worked on his verdict.

While back inside the house, Nate stated that the only meal she liked was Siphesihle’s.

Siphesihle replied, “Thank you, my man likes my chicken”.

At about 21:07 (CAT), Big Brother summoned the housemates back to the arena so that he give his verdict on the Robertsons cooking task. Uyanda was heard confidently saying, “Let me go win my money”, Mshini interjected saying that the money was hers.

And since there could only be one winner, Big Brother announced that Siphesihle was the winner of the Week 9 Robertsons cooking task.

An extremely happy Sipheshile then asked Big Brother if it was not a prank that he announced her as the winner.

Siphesihle’s story, as well as the meal she prepared, hit all the right spots and for her efforts, she walked away with R5,000 and an air fryer – well done girl.
